The mighty Jarasandha attacks Mathura seventeen times to avenge Kamsa, and each battle puts the people in danger. So Krishna does something bold: instead of fighting on and on, he leads everyone far across the land to a golden island city built in the western sea - Dwaraka. Some tease him with the name Ranchhod, "one who left the battlefield" - but leaving to protect your people is strategy, not cowardice.
