Story

Vishnu Bhagavan is the protector of the universe, resting on Adishesha in the Ksheera Sagaram (ocean of milk). He has incarnated ten times as the Dashavatara to defeat evil and restore dharma. For Telugu families, Vishnu is most beloved as Lord Venkateswara of Tirumala - the richest and most visited temple in the world. The devotion to Balaji runs deep in every Telugu household. Whether it's a housewarming, wedding, or exam season, "Govinda! Govinda!" is the prayer on everyone's lips. His avatars Rama and Krishna are the heroes of the two great epics that shaped our culture.

Fun fact

Tirumala Venkateswara temple receives more visitors than the Vatican and Mecca combined. Telugu devotees often donate their hair as a symbol of surrendering ego - that's where the famous Tirumala tonsure tradition comes from.
