Kedarnath (కేదారనాథ్)
Today: Kedarnath, Uttarakhand
Kedarnath is the highest of all the twelve Jyotirlingas - a sturdy stone temple standing alone in a valley of snow and cloud, so high that it closes all winter. In many tellings, the Pandavas came here after the great war, seeking Shiva's forgiveness - but Shiva did not wish to be found, and took the form of a bull and dove into the earth. His hump remained here at Kedarnath, and that is the very form worshipped inside the temple to this day.
