The charioteer of the Gita

Krishna's Path, stage 7 of 8: Hastinapura → Kurukshetra

Krishna comes to the great war having promised to lift no weapon - he holds only the reins of Arjuna's chariot. But in the hush before the first arrow, when Arjuna's bow slips from his trembling hands, Krishna speaks the Bhagavad Gita - words about duty, courage, and the deathless soul that people still turn to every single day. The mightiest thing on that battlefield was not a weapon at all.
